ダニエルは、たびからもどって、また、こじいんへかえりました。そう。ダニエルはいま、こじいんでくらしています。ダニエルは、けんしょうであたって、イギリスのしまへ、パパとママといきました。けれども、うみがあれていて、パパとママはフェリーからおちて、おぼれてしまったのです。ダニエルは、パパとママのおそうしきに、いきました。ダニエルはひとりぼっち、こじいんで、くらすことになったのです。しばらくして、ダニエルには、あたらしいパパとママができました。けれども、こじいんへかえされてしまいました。ダニエルはまた、ひとりぼっちです。ダニエルは、「まごいもうと」のガレージセールでも、チーズのクーポンをあてました。あれ？「まごいもうと？」そんなの、きいたことある？ダニエルのおばあさんには、むすめがいました。けれども、まごいもうとのブリアンは、もらいっ子です。ダニエルは、ブリアンとおばあさんといっしょに、すんでいました。けれども、ダイニエルはもう、そこにはすんでいません。パパとママとすむことにしたのです。ダニエルは、まどのそとをみて、あたらしいパパとママか、ほんとうのパパとママに、にている人をさがします。そして、あたらしいパパとママと、ほんとうのパパとママのリストにのっけます。これまでに、あたらしいパパとママには１０４、ほんとうのパパとママには１２９がのっかりました。ダニエルはハッピーです。ダニエルは、パパとママが生きてもどってきてくれたらなぁと、おもいます。まいにち、リストがふえないと、ダニエルは、いちまいだけある、しゃしんをみます。ダニエルはパパとママがてんごくからかえってきて、こんなふうにいうのを、そうぞうします。

「パパとママは、ダニエルがひとりぼっちなのを、しってるわ。だからたいせつなダニエルをまもりに、もどってきたのよ」けれどもダニエルは、ためいきをつきます。だって、ほんとうにならないのですもの。ダニエルはよるになると、おとのでるリコリスのおもちゃとあそびながら、そうおもいます。このおもちゃは、「おかあさん」というので、ダニエルはママをおもいます。ダニエルはまた、ドーナツのおもちゃももっています。ドーナツはパパです。ダニエルは、おもちゃが大すき。ほんとうに大すきです。ドーナツはロシアゼリーのにおいがします。ゼリー・ドーナツみたいな。かわいそうな、ダニエル。

anielle went back to the orphanage from her trip to the space yard. Oh, she lives in an orphanage right now. Remember when Danielle got the coupon to English Island and she went there with her parents but the seas were very rough on the ferry and her parents fell out and drowned? And Danielle had to go to her parents' funeral? Well, that's when she started living in an orphanage. Then she got step-parents but then they didn't want her anymore. That's when she became an orphan. Danielle also got a coupon to get cheese at her grandsister's garage sale. What's that? You've never heard of a grandsister? Here, Danielle's grandma had a daughter. But Briane the grandsister was adopted. So Danielle lived with Briane and Grandma. But then Danielle stopped living there and went back home to living with Mom and Father. Then Danielle looked out the window for people like her step-parents or parents. If she did, she could paste it on her Step-Parent Or Parent list. So far the Step-Parent side had 104 pasting and the Parent side had 129 pastings, she was happy. She felt as if Mom and Father came back to life. Every day after a pasting was stuck on, she would look at one of the photos she had. Danielle pictured her parents coming back from Heaven and saying to her,

"We knew you were alone, so we came back to protect out dear daughter." But Danielle sighed. This wasn't going to be true. She wished that night as she played with her musical licorice toy. The toy was as long as the word 'mommy'. It reminded her of Mom. She also had a non-edible donut that was shaped in the word 'papa'. She loved the toys so. She loved them so, so much. The scent of the donut was Russian jelly. Like a jelly donut. Poor Danielle.
