ぼくは初めてジョッシュに会ったとき、友だちのクリスに「ハイ！」とさえ、いわせなかった。ジョッシュと会う前、ぼくとクリスは自転車に乗ってたんだ。すると黄色のトラックが道のわきに止まって、人々が荷物をおろし始めた。２人の少年も、黒っぽい青いバンからおりてきた。 だからぼくたちは、近くまで走っていって、２人の名前を聞いたんだ。ジョッシュとナサン。ナサンはクリスと遊び始めた（たぶんおにごっこだと思う）。だけどクリスはジョッシュともなかよくなりたから、ジョッシュの気をひくために、いっしょうけんめい顔の前で手をふった。まるで木の枝が風にふかれているみたいに。やっとジョッシュが気がついた。だけどそこでぼくは口出しをして、クリスに何にも話させなかったんだよ。 |
hen I first met Josh I wouldn't let my friend Chris say anything to Josh not even "Hi". Before we met Josh, Chris and I were riding bikes.....then a yellow Ryder truck pulled on the side of the road and people started unpacking stuff. Then these two boys came out of a blackish blue van.
Then we rode over and I asked what their names were and they said that their names were Josh and Nathan. Then Nathan went to play a game with Chris, (I think it was tag. I thought) but Chris wanted to know Josh more so we both played with Josh. Then Chris kept trying to get his attenion by waving his arms on front of his face like tree branches blowing in the wind, but then he got his attention. Then I started to butt in and I didn't let Chris say anything to him after that.
