あるところに、パープル・カウ・ランドと呼ばれる秘密の場所がありました。そこはどこよりも美しい土地でした。大きなむらさきのチューリップやきれいな青いお花が咲き、リンゴやオレンジやバナナやココナッツの木がはえていました。

土地の中には川が流れています。川の水はガラスのようにすきとおっていて、川底の小石がすけて見えます。川の底には小さなお家があって、中には一匹の魚が住んでいました。魚の名前はアイスクリームといって、アイスクリームしか食べません。いろいろな味のアイスクリームを食べるのでした。

さてこの土地の王様はパープル・カウ、お月様に住んでいます。パープル・カウはうすい紫色をしていて、体中にこい紫の点々が散っています。パープル・カウは、りっぱな王様でした。パープル・カウはお昼ごろに川へ出かけては、アイスクリーム・フィッシュとアイスクリーム・サンドを食べて、ルートビア・フロートを飲むのが大好きでした。それからストロベリーとクリームに会いに、ストロベリー山に出かけるのも大のお気に入りです。ストロベリーとクリームはふたごの山羊です。パープル・カウは山に行っては、ストロベリー・クリームソーダを飲みながら、谷でどんなことが起こっているのか、見るのが好きでした。さてこういうわけで、パープル・カウはお城から出て、谷を下りると、アイスクリーム・フィッシュに会いにいきました。ところがアイスクリーム・フィッシュがいません。パープル・カウはいいました。

「それならストロベリーとクリームの家に遊びに行こう。それにしてもおかしいな。アイスクリームは今日がわたしの誕生日だって、知っているはずなのに」

パープル・カウはストロベリーとクリームのお家をたずねました。ところが２匹もいません。「だれもわたしの誕生日のことをおぼえていないんだな」と、パープル・カウはひとりごとをいいました。

そこでレモンとオレンジとリンゴとバナナとココナッツのお家にも行ってみました。けれどもだれひとりお家にいません。ただレモンだけがレモンの木にあるお家から出かけるところでした。パープル・カウは

「そんなに急いでどこに行くんだい？」と、聞きました。

レモンは「わたしはちょっとそこまで。そうそう、あなたのお母様からことづけがあります。５時にはお家に帰るように。今は４時だから、どうぞバンとナナと遊んでくださいな」と、答えました。

そこでパープル・カウ王様は２匹のふたごのサル、バンとナナと遊ぶことにしました。残念ながら、遊ぶというよりは、面倒を見ることになってしまいましたが。パープル・カウはお母さんに電話をしました。するとお母さんはパープル・カウに２匹のふたごのサルをお家に連れてくるようにといいました。それから後でバンナナおくさんに電話をして、子どもたちがいることを伝えておくからといいました。そこでパープル・カウはサルたちに、「わたしの家に行こう」と、いいました。

パープル・カウとサルたちがお家に着くと、ぱっと明りがついて、お友だちがみんな出てきました。そしてみんなで「パープル・カウ、お誕生日、おめでとう！」と、いいました。パープル・カウは

「これまでで一番ステキなお誕生日だ！」と、いいました。

nce upon a time there was a secret place so called as Purple Cow Land. It was the most beautiful land ever it had gigantic baby purple tulips, it had bonnie blue bells, it had apple trees, orange trees, bannana trees, and cocounut trees.

Inside the land there was a River that flowed it was as clear as a piece of clean glass with see through gems on the bottom. There was a little house at the bottom of this river and the person that lived in it was a fish his name was the Icecream Fish all he ever ate was icecream of many different flavors.

Then there is Purple Cow himself he is the king of this land he lives on the moon he is baby purple with dark purple spots all over his body. He himself is a very nice king. He loves to go to the river and visit with Icecream Fish and have Icecream sandwiches for lunch and drink rootbeer floats. Then he likes to go to Strawberry Mountain and visit Strawberrie and Cream they are twin goats. He likes to go there and find out what is going on around the valley while havin strawberrie and cream soda. Well enough about all this any way Purple Cow started down the glass steps of his palace and got down to the valley he went to see Icecream Fish and found out he wasn't there. Purple Cow then said,

"I guess I will just have to go and visit Strawberrie and Cream at there house it is kind of funny though seems like Icecream would have known it was my birthday".

So Purple Cow went to see if Strawberrie and Cream were home but they weren't either then once again he said to himself, "does any one not no it is tis' my birthday".

So seeing they were not home either he went to Lemons, Oranges, Apples, Bananas, and Cocounuts homes to see if they were there but they were not there either although he did see Lemon leaving her home in the Lemon Tree and Purple Cow asked,

"where are you going in such a hurry?" She said,"

I am going somewhere well any way I was to tell you this by your mother to be home at 5 o'clock sharp but it i! s only 4 o'clock now you still have time to play with Ban and Nana."

So the majesty went to play with Ban and Nana the 2 twin baby monkeys it happened to end up that he had to babysit them both. Purple Cow called and told his mother and she just told him to bring them both there and she would call or tell Mrs. Bannanas that her children were there. So Purple Cow told the little monkeys that they had to go to his house.

When they had arrived at his house they flipped on the light and all the people he had went to see earlier that day popped out and said,"Happy Boirthday Purple Cow" and Purple Cow said,

"this is the best birthday I have ever heard or seen in my entire life."
