「かなしい村」のいつもと変わらぬ日が始まりました。つまり、みんながかなしがってばかりいる日です。この小さな村では、かなしいこと以外、おもしろいことは何ひとつ起こりません。

ところがある日、ひとりの男の人がかなしい村に現われて、村の様子は一変しました。村のみんなはウキウキしています。なぜならおぼえているかぎり、新しい住人はだれひとり、この村にこなかったのですから！

その男の人は古い古い家にひっこしてきました。その家は大きくて、ゆうれいがでます。みんなはたいそうおどろいて、きっとあの人は変わり者にちがいないと、いいあいました。これが村に起こった、最初のドキドキするできごとでした。

t was just an ordinary day in Saddinsville. That meant that everyone was sad! Nothing very exciting (except for sad things) happened in that small town.

Well, one day, all of that changed after just a regular man came to Saddinsville. Of, course everyone was excited because no one had moved there for about........as long as anyone could remember!

The man moved into a very old, old house that was huge and had been haunted for years. Everyone was surprised and thought he was a mad man for thinking that everything would be okay in that haunted house.
It was the first exciting thing that had happened that very millenium.
