Jessica's "The Black Plague Kids"

In this story, is "Little Green Hat", is "My favorite Bench",
is "Kima", is "Blue Train Car", and is "My Club's Flag.".

I was standing on my front porch, looking all around. To my right was . To my left was the train track. The road went bast , and Through the train track. The train was going through. I saw the . I don't know why, but I liked it. I heard the train whistle. I smiled. I had been waiting for this all night. I went back inside.

Inside I heard my dad playing his Violin, which I called . He was playing a slow, sad song. I wondered why. He used to play really happy, lively songs, so that mom would be happy. She was really sick, and the doctor said that my dad's violin might help to chear her up, and maybe help her to get better. We couldn't see that it was really working.

I went into my mom's room to kiss her goodnight. THen I saw why my dad was playing such sad songs. Mom had died. I went back to where dad was playing . And he told me that she felt no pain. She was taking a small nap and then she died.
I ran outside. I flung myself onto . I sat there and cried and cried and cried. I think I stayed there half of the night. Becuase my dad woke me up and walked me home. I was laying in my bed crying. I was an only child, and my only mom was gone.

The next day, I took my mom's from when she was Peter Pan in a play. She said when she died, she was going to give that hat to me. So I rightfully took it. I would never take it off.

Good thing it was summer time, so I'd have all the time in the world to think of what I was going to do. I cried most of the time, or slept for about 2 weeks. I still had 2 weeks and a month before school. started up again.

One day while I was outside, I saw a little girl, about 2 years younger then me, and she was crying, while sitting on . She looked at me, and scooted away, I asked her, "You like my hat?" she looked at it and laughed. I asked her what was wrong and she said her dad had died. From the same thing that mom had.

From then on, me and her started a club for kids who's parents had died from the same stuff my mom had. Living in a small town in Europe, there was a lot of people that I knew. I didn't know the exact name, but one of the doctors that we asked about the disease sayed it was called the Black Plague.

We raised up a , and that we would help all kids who's family members had died from this "Black Plague". We waved our all over, and people started to welcome us wherever we went! It was great.
