ne day Megan and her friend Kelsi blasted off to the Milky Way Solar System which includes the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, and Jupiter. Minutes later a meeor shower struck.One of the meteors hit their space ship and suddenly all of their power turned off. Then they noticed that they were lost in space.
Soon after that, they entered the Sun's atmosphere. Looking at the bright, burning Sun, Megan and her friend, Kelsi, saw black spots. The black spots are hot spots. When the Sun gets black spots it means the Sun is burning.
They finally left the sun and went to the planet closest to the Sun called Mercury. Mercury is a hot, rocky planet. They spent two days at Mercury and finally left.
The next day, they entered the atmosphere of Venus. Venus is a planet surrounded by gas. They only spent about one day near Venus.
They finally traveled to the planet Earth. Earth is where people live It’s hot enough for people to live. It also has water,food, and shelter.
They entered the atmosphere of Mars three days later. Mars is dry and rocky just like Mercury. People also call Mars the red planet because it is red. Finally they left Mars.
The last planet they visited was Jupiter. Jupiter also has gases around it. Jupiter has a red spot. The red spot is a storm that has lasted for 3,000 years.
Finally they left Jupiter and landed safely back on Earth once again.
