"Hockey Mania"

ne day the Colorado Avalanche hockey team were practicing for the championship playoffs. They were playing the Philadelphia Flyers that night.

 

The game was scheduled for 7:00 pm and it was only 10:00 am. They had to beat the Philadelphia Flyers four out of seven games in order to move to the next play-off games.

At 7:00 that evening the game started. The AVs won the faceoff, and got a shot on the net, but Vanbesbruk saved the puck with his blocker. Then Joe Sacik got a rebound shot and scored on the top shelf for the AVs.

The first period ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of the AVs.

“Looks like the Flyers better catch up or they could lose the game”, announced the sports broadcaster.

Wow! The second period starts with a crosscheck from Forsberg and a delayed penalty is called for Forsberg.

Suddenly, Sacik stole the puck and he had a breakaway. He shoots the puck... and scores! What a goal for Sacik! The Avalanche have a lead of a 2-0. Eighteen minutes later, the 2nd period ends.

It’s the final period. The AVs cannot let the Flyers get a goal , or the AVs could lose the shutout. The period starts with a shocking start. Kaminsky has the puck but the Flyers stole the puck.

Twenty seconds remains in the period. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0. What a game from the AVs. Patrick Roy got the 1st shutout for the Stanley Cup.
