t was a clear black night and Detective Bury was thinking of something to do. She was sitting down next to the big black box, with her sidekick Andrews. Bury was probably thinking up some evil plan. Andrews was eating a big salad sandwich, while repeating ìWhat are we going to do? Are you thinking of something to do?
ìShut up, Iím trying to think.î Detective Bury replied. ì Barker Brains is on the loose and Iím trying to think of a way to stop him.
Detective Bury and Andrews were walking down a dark alley when all of a sudden
Out comes Barker Brains (ooohÖ very scary!) with his assistant Numbat Nolan.
Barker Brains walked towards the brick wall on the right. (The one with lots of graffiti on it.) He started searching for a particular brick, because Andrews and Bury are tied up. (Numbat Nolan tied them up !)
All that they could do was sit, stare and ask Barker Brains ìWhatís going on?
In a very loud voice he answered ìWhen I find the button on the brick wall, I will press the button, and when I do the bomb that is attached to that rope - the one that holds you tied together ñ will start to count down from 20. Whilst the bomb is going, my Giant Gob Stopper will keep you from trying to escape,so that I can get away with the money that I stole from the bank.
ìWhat are you going to do with it?î asks Andrews.
ìIím thinking of going to a different country like Italy, and live in a mansion with a pool and live a good and happy life, with Numbat Nolan as my maid
ìYes Master, that will be fun, wonít it?î Numbat Nolan said.
ì Shut up! Hahahaî, Barker Brains replied. ìNumbat Nolan, I found it! Quick, letís go, our flight leaves in ten minutes.
ìYouíll never get away with this, Barker Brainsî Andrews yelled out after him.
Barker Brains turned and yelled back: ìHow, exactly, are you going to stop me? You are all tied up and canít get out so how are you going to stop me?
And with that, Barker Brains and Numbat Nolan carried on down to their secret laboratory, where their plane was waiting, skiing and singing and dancing and prancing. And for once in their life having fun.
Will Detective Bury and Andrews escape?
Will they stop Barker Brains and Numbat Nolan in time?
