Andrea was excited. Tonight was her slumber party! Her friends, Mia, Rachel, Audree, Clare, and Sophie were coming over. Andrea couldn't wait.

Andrea's Story:

It was my slumber party. When my guests showed up we had pizza and watched movies. When it was time for bed we got changed and crawled into our sleeping bags.

"Andrea, did you here that?" Clare whispered. It was one thirty a.m. and a low crying sound was coming from the hall. Clare and I went to see what it was. Suddenly I noticed something. A red stain on the floor.

You see, we just moved in last month. I already made many friends.

'That's so weird." I said let's go find that sound. We went into the living room. The sound was coming from the fireplace. I stepped closer. 'Just the wind" I said. "Let's go" Suddenly, a fire lit up the room and spread accross the floor. "I screamed. Clare and I ran back to wake the others. "Mia, Sophie, Rachel, Audree!" they woke up and followed me outside. Flames came out of the windows, and in a distance I could here soft sirens. I looked at my friends. Audree was missing. The firefighters jumped out.

"Audree's still in there!" Rachel cried. They hurried in and came out ten minutes later. They did not have Audree. "Go back in!" Mia yelled "Save Audree" screamed Clare. Just then another man came out carrying Audree. I thought I saw her hand move, so she was okay. By 4:35 we were at Sophie's house. Her mother said we could stay in the guest room.

At 9:57 a.m. I woke up. I smelt bacon and eggs coming from the kitchen "What an awful dream" I thought. It had seemed so real. I looked at the blue blanket on my bed and remembered my blanket was pink, not blue. It wasn't a dream. I went downstairs in my jeans and tee-shirt. My clothes were covered in soot. Sophie was at the table. "Andrea,"she said softly, "Audree died." Died, died, died... Those words echoed through my head. I sat down. I couldn't eat. I had to call my best friend, Rachel. " Rachel, "I said "Yeah?" she replied in a tired voice. "Audree, well, she's Rachel." Silence. Rachel had hung up. I knew Audree was her best bud in the world. I went to the guest room and cried. I looked at my small ring with a fake blue jewel. I had found it in the house the night of the sleepover. It made me sad to look at it.

The phone rang. I answered. 'Hello?" "Andrea, help, it's Clare. I'm being click." the phone hung up. I had to see what was wrong. When I got to Clare's house, police were there. "What happened?'" I asked. "A little was ed here this morning. Her aunt came and locked her in the car trunk. It was awful. "No!" I ran home. I pulled of my ring and suddenly the sky turned bright blue. I knew it had something to do with the ring. I took it to the old man who lived nextdoor to my old house.

"Ahh!'' he said "Ye see, young 'in a couple used to live there. The Jenkins. They gave birth to a pretty little gal. She was killed, though, when her friends told her to go to school along the railway tracks. She was hit on the bridge and oh, musta been back in around, id say, '53. Poor Betty Lou. She was only 'bout as old as you. yes, around eleven.

I ran to the railway bridge. "Betty Lou!" I called "Listen, Betty Lou, I know you've put a curse on us, but it wasn't our fault that you died, sweetie, it was some other children, here, take your ring," she tossed it down, now leave me alone!" A appeared with wavy hair. She smiled, suddenly the world began to spin and it was black.

"Andrea, earth to Andrea," it was Clare, she was alive. "You fell asleep during the third movie, Titanic." She said. Had it all been a dream? They all ate breakfast and watched cartoons. "Knock knock,''Andrea went to the door. A note was on the ground :
