"You Can't Buy Happiness."

Allison was rich. She was in many movies and everyone liked her. But she wasn't happy.

"Allison! Time to go! We don't want you to be late for the audition, my little actress!"

Allison didn't want to go, but she always did. One day she found out why she was so unhappy. She knew she was talented, but her parents wanted her to be more than just a normal eleven-year-old. They wanted her to be famous. They wanted her to be happy. But it wasn't working. Allison's friends got tired of her and left her out in conversations. They always talked about movies they went to together. They had invited Allison too, but she was always busy. She would tell her parents.

"Oh, sweetie-pie, don't cry, we have two hours of time next week, we'll go then."

But Allison didn't want to. Her parents always would say stuff like "Sir, this is Allison Myers, the actress, let her through!" But Allison wanted to wait in line just once. She wanted to be treated normal. No more eyes staring at her wherever she went. She wanted to be Allison Myers, normal , instead of Allison Myers, movie star.

She was so alone at school, with no one to talk to. Her best friends gave up on asking her to movies and sleep-overs. She wanted to impress them so they would like her again. "Hey, Jillian," she would say, " I met Brad Pitt once". Or, "Casandra, I've been in thirty movies, twelve of those I played lead role." But her friends just said "Big Deal" or "Show-off" or 'You're pathetic".

Allison cried. She was mad at her friends, at herself, but most of all, she was mad at her parents. She told them all that happened. They apologized. "We just wanted you to experience something that not many kids get," her mom explained. They agreed not to be as busy anymore but still do a bit of acting and modelling.

Allisons friends forgave her and she was happy.
