昨日、わたしにどんなことが起こったか、だれも想像することはできないでしょう！昨日わたしが、スクールバスのバス停に行くと、そこにはだれもいませんでした。そこでわたしは、学校の体育館でおどるダンスのことやその時に何を着ようかなどと考えて、バスを待っていました。するとまた、おかしなことが起きました。いつもの黄色いスクールバスの代わりに、ピンクのバスが現われたのです。
わたしはそのバスに乗ろうかどうか、ちょっと迷いました。するとバスのドアがすっと開きました。中にはチャーリーブラウン、ルーシー、ライナス、それからスヌーピーのピーナッツのみんなが乗っています！ルーシーがわたしのところへ来て、「みんなでショッピングモールに行きたいのだけれど、２つ年上の人がいっしょでないと、行けないの」と、いいました。そうです！わたしは９才、ピーナッツのみんなは７才なのです。みんなが「いっしょに行こう」と、さそうので、わたしはショッピングモールに行くことにしました。
ショッピングモールに着くと、女の子と男の子で行きたい場所にわかれることになりました。３時になったら、リミテッドツーのお店の前に集合です。
お店に入る前に、わたしは女の子たち（ルーシー、ペパーミントパッティ、マーシー、サリー、バイオレット、フリエダ）に、「何を買いたいの？」と、聞きました。するとみんなはとてもおかしなことをいいました。「学校のダンスでおどる時に着る新しいドレスが買いたいの」と、いったのです。わたしはビックリして、「なぜダンスのことを知っているの？どうしてわたしの学校に来られるの？」と、いいました。すると女の子たちは「ママが学校ではたらいていて、ベビーシッターもいないから、お留守番の代わりに、ダンスに連れていってくれることになったのよ」と、答えました。
１番目のお店はメーシーズでした。そこにはとてもステキなドレスがありました。フリエダはかわいいむらさき色のドレスを見つけました。バイオレットは緑のドレス、ルーシーは青いドレス、サリーは白い水玉のついた青いドレス。わたしはピンクのドレスを見つけました。けれどもマーシーとパッティは、ドレスが見つかりません。そして「ドレスはきらい」といいました。ところがどのドレスも高すぎて、わたしたちには買えません。そこでわたしたちは、他のお店も見てみました。けれどもドレスはありません。気に入ったのは、メーシーズのドレスだけ。ところがもう２時３０分になっていました。わたしたちはランチを食べてから、リミテッドツーにもどり、男の子たちと会うことにしました。
リミテッドツーに行くと、男の子たちがメーシーズの紙袋を７つかかえて立っていました。わたしたちはふくろの中身が知りたくてたまりません。けれども「秘密」といわれてしまいました。そこでいっしょうけんめいにお願いすると、男の子たちはわたしたちに袋を一つずつ、手渡してくれました。紙袋の中身は、わたしたちのほしかったドレスです！わたしたちはたくさんお礼をいうと、バスに乗ってお家に帰りました。バスはいつものバス停に止まりました。わたしは男の子たちにもう一度ドレスのお礼をいうと、「来週、ショッピングモールに行ったりして遊びましょう」と、いいました。そしてわたしたちは、次に遊びに行く約束をしました。わたしはバスを降りて、家に走って帰ると、さっそく新しいドレスを着てみました。
ou'll never guess what happened to me yesterday! I was walking to the school bus stop but when I got there, there was no one standing there. So, I just waited for the bus thinking about the school dance that would be held in the gym at school and wondering what I should wear. Then the second strange thing happened, instead of the normal yellow school bus, a pink bus came up to the curb were I was standing.
I didn't know if I should go onto the strange bus or not. Then the door opened and there inside the bus were Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the Peanuts gang. And then Lucy came up to me and said that they wanted to go to the mall but in order to they needed someone at least two years older than them. Then I realized that since I was nine years old and they were about seven years old, they wanted me to go to the mall with them. So, I decided to go with them.
When we got to the mall we determined that the boys would go to where ever they wanted to go and the girls to where they wanted to go. We also resolved that we would meet back at where the bus was to pick as up, at the store, Limited Too at 3:00. Then we split up to go.
Before we went into any stores I asked the girls (Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Marcy, Sally, Violet, and Frieda) what they wanted to buy and why. And they told me the most unusual thing, they said they were getting new dresses to wear to the school dance at my school. I Next I asked how they knew about the dance and why they were going. They explained that they were going to the school dance because their mothers worked at the school and they couldn稚 get babysitters so their mothers needed to bring them to the dance.
The first store we went into was Macy's. There we saw the nicest dresses. Frieda found a nice purple dress, Violet saw a green dress, Lucy a blue one, sally found a blue dress with white polka dots and I found pink dress. But Marcy and Patty didn稚 like anything there, they said they didn't like dresses. But when we saw the prices on the dresses we didn稚 have enough money.
We tried 3 other stores but they didn稚 have any dresses we liked. We only liked the ones in Macy's. By then it was already 2:30. We decided we should go eat lunch and then go to Limited Too to meet the boys and go home.
When we got back to the store, we say that the boys were holding seven bags from Macy's. Of course we wanted to know what they got but they said it was a surprise. But we begged so much that they gave in and they gave each of us one of the Macy's bags. We looked in and inside we each got the dress we wanted. We thanked the boys a lot and we got onto the bus to ride home.
When the bus stopped at my normal school bus stop I got up, thanked the boys again for the dress and then suggested that we go to the mall or some where else together next week. We all agreed to that and we made it a date. So I got off the bus and ran home to try on my new dress.
