ne bright sunny day, A and his friends E and O were walking down the side walk. In the lake next to the sidewalk, there were usually swans in it, but today there was none.
"I was looking forward to see those beautiful white swans," complained E.
"Me too," agreed A and O.They looked under the bridge, behind the bushes and in the water, but the swans weren't there!
It was August 29th that day.A decided to ask Beaver, if he had seen the swans. He said he hadn't seen them. So E decided to ask Owl. She didn't know where they were either. So finally O decided to ask the fish.
"We know where they went," explained a gold fish. "They went south for the winter, to find warmth," he said pointing north.
"Will thet be back?" asked O with sadness in his voice.
"Of course! They do that every year!" said the gold fish and he swam away. When O climbed out of the pond, his friends anxiously asked about the swans. O explained the whole thing againg.
"I'm so relieved and happy!" said A with a smile. The others agreed, and continued they're walk home.
