その日、わたしはブランブル道で馬のスノーイに乗っていました。それは深いきりの夜でした。突然、目の前にトロッコが現れて、わたしはそのまま気を失ってしまいました。

目をさました時、わたしは自分の部屋にいました。わたしはほっとして起き上がろうとしましたが、目も開けられないし、足の感覚もありません。身体中の感覚がないのです。最初、自分が死んでしまったのだと思いました。そこへだれかの話す声が聞こえてきました。その声は、わたしがもう２度と歩けなくなるだろう、と言っています。まさかわたしのことを話しているとは思いませんでした。けれどもお母さんが、「かわいそうなリサ」と、言っています。ひどい！なぜわたしなの？それからみんなは、わたしが２ヵ月もの間、寝たきりになっていたと、説明してくれました。サンドラという名前の女性が毎日家に来ては、物理療法をしてくれたのです。しばらくして、わたしは自分がひどい事故にあったこと、その事故でスノーイも死んでしまったことを知りました。

サンドラはそれからも家に来てくれました。１ヵ月してわたしはサンドラに、「お母さんのお誕生日には歩けるようになって、みんなをおどろかすことができるかしら？」と、聞きました。サンドラは「がんばるりましょう。でも、とても難しいことなのよ」と、言っています。

When I woke up I was glad to be waking up in my own room I could not open my eyes nor could I feel my legs my body was completley num and I actually thought that I was dead until I could hear a voice. The voice was saying that I would probably never walk again and I thought that surley can not be me then the next thing I heard my mum saying my poor Lisa oh my poor Lisa nooooo!!!!! Why did it have to happen to me. When they all realised that I had woken up from a 2 month long coma the lady told me that she was called Sandra and would be coming to my house every day to do physiotherapy with me. Later on they told me that I had been in a terrible crash and that my horse snowy had died.

When sandra had been coming to my house for 1 month I asked her if she would help me to surprise everyone by walking at my mums birthday she said she would try but is very hard .
