むかし、森の中の小さな小屋に、ひと組の夫婦が住んでいました。２人を訪ねてくる人は、だれひとりとしていません。２人はさびしくてたまりませんでした。ところがある雨の日、玄関のところにバスケットが置いてありました。バスケットを家の中に入れると、２人は中の毛布を開けてみました。するとそこには、生まれたばかりの小犬が入っていました。２人は中から小犬を取り出すと、ほにゅうびんに暖めたミルクを入れました。おんなの人は、小犬を赤ちゃんみたいにだっこしています。おんなの人は小犬を毛布で包むと、ほにゅびんでミルクをあげました。そうしながら、おんなの人は、

「この子のことをエイドリアンと呼びましょう」おとこの人も賛成です。それから２人でお昼寝をしている時、おんなの人が聞きました。

「あの子をずっと預かっていてもいいかしら？だってあんなに可愛いのですもの！」

「もちろんだよ。ずっと手元におこう。きっとこれからもいっしょにいてくれるのは、あの子だけだよ」と、おとこの人が答えました。

その夜、８時になって寝る時間がくると、おんなの人はエイドリアンを犬用のベッドに入れました。そして夫婦は自分たちのベッドに横になって、眠り始めました。小犬はすぐに大きく、たくましくなっていきました。それにとてもお利口です。ある日、おんなの人はおなかがいたくなって、病院に検査に行きました。おんなの人には赤ちゃんができていたのです！そこで夫婦はエイドリアンをじゅう医さんのところへ連れていって、他の犬とお見合いをさせました。そしてエイドリアンにも赤ちゃんができました。

９ヵ月後、赤ちゃんが生まれました。それからエイドリアンと小犬たち。それから３ヵ月たった雨の日に、夫婦はまた玄関のところで小犬を見つけました。夫婦は年を取っていって、赤ちゃんだった娘も大きくなりました。ある日、夫婦はとても重い病気にかかって、亡くなってしまいました。

次の日、エイドリアンも死んでしまいました。娘はエイドリアンの大きくなった小犬を連れて、引っ越しをしました。それから娘は結婚をすると、生まれてきた子どもにエイドリアンという名前をつけました。

ﾊnce Upon A Time, in the middle of the woods. A woman and a man lived in a cottage. Nobody visited, EVER! Soon the man and woman became very very lonely! Then one very rainy day a basket showed up on their doorstep. So they brought the basket in their house. They opened up the blankets in the basket. The found a newborn puppy. So they took it out and got a bottle and filled it with warm milk, and the woman held the puppy like a baby. Then she wrapped it up with the blankets and fed it the bottle. As she fed it the bottle she said:

" I shall call you Adrian." Her husband agreed! As they went to take their nap the woman asked the man

"Should we keep him dear. He is so darling!"

" Yes Dear we shall keep him. After all he is the only company we'll have." Soon they built him a cradle.

Later at 8:00 pm they went to bed and the woman put the puppy in his bed. Then her and her husband lie down in their bed and went to sleep. Soon the puppy grew bigger and stronger. And the people taller and smarter and not so nieve. So one day they went to get a check-up because the woman had a tummy ache. She found out she was going to have a baby! SO then they took the dog to the vet and he had mated with an other dog and she was going to have puppies.

So nine months later the woman had a baby. And the other dog and puppies. Then 3 months later on a rainy day. They found a puppy on their doorstep. Soon the woman and man grew very very old the daughter grew very big. One day the man and woman grew very sick and died.

The next day Adrian The dog died. So the daugter kept the puppy which was a dog now, and moved away! SO then the daughter got married and had a child and she named him Adrian.
