モーハンは９才です。小さな小屋にひとりぼっちでくらしていました。悲しいことにモーハンは、どれいとして働いていました。貧しい少年は１日最低１２時間、働かなくてはならなかったのです。モーハンの唯一の望みは、学校に行って、将来はお金持ちになることでした。
一度モーハンが働いている時、２人の男の人がある学校について、話をしていました。その学校はずっと遠くにあるということです。モーハンはその話をじっと聞いていました。そしてその学校に行こうと、決心しました。それは小屋から５０キロ離れたところにありました。モーハンはいくらかのお金を持つと、学校に向け、長く辛い旅に出かけました。３時間後、モーハンは学校にたどり着きました。学校の名前は、ある聖徒の名前から付けられていました。モーハンはまっすぐに校長室に向かいました。けれども、モーハンは校長先生の汚れた服を見て、がっかりしていました。校長先生の名前はK.K. ジョセフといいました。ジョセフ校長は、モーハンを見た時には入学を許可する気分ではありませんでした。けれどもモーハンは校長先生に、自分がこの学校でいかに熱心な生徒になるかを、一生懸命伝えました。
ジョセフ校長はとても心の大きな人だったので、モーハンの小さな心を砕くようなことはしたくないと、思いました。モーハンは貧乏で、学費を払うことができなかったのです。そこでモーハンにちょっとした行いをしてくれうように頼みました。あんまり汚れている部屋があったら、ほうきではくようにと、言ったのです。モーハンはそれをIQテストだと思いました。モーハンはそれから２時間、懸命に働きました。
ジョセフ校長は掃除された部屋を見て、驚きのあまり口をあんぐりと開けました。モーハンがあまりにもきれいに掃除をしたからです。部屋の中はチリひとつ落ちていません。モーハンの仕事をこなす能力に感心して、ジョセフ校長は入学を許可しました。
モーハンはこの世で一番幸せな少年になりました。
ohan was 8 years old. He lived alone in his small hut.Unfortunately he was a bonded labour. Poor boy had to work for maximum twelve hours.His only ambition was to go to school become a rich man in future.Once , while he was working he heard two men describing about a school which was very far. He, then, quitely listened to the conversation of those two men. He then decided to go to that school. It was about 50 kilometers away from his hut.He took some money with him set off for his long and tiresome journey.After 3 hours , he reached to the school which named after a saint. He went straight to the head master room.But , his impression got down infront of hie head master because of his filthy clothes.The head master name was K.K. Joseph. When he saw Mohan he was not in a mood to gave him admission.But, when Mohan told him how eager was he to be as a pupil in his school.
Mr. Joseph was very large hearted, he did'nt want to break Mohan's little heart.As Mohan was poor he could not be able to pay the school fees. And Mr. Joseph asked him to do a little deed for him. He asked him to broom a room which was very dirty. Mohan thought that this was his I.Q test. Then what? he started working after 2hrs he called the master.
Mr. Joseph came his mouth hung in amazement. The boy cleaned it so nicely that there was no dust particle inside it. And impressed by his ability to do his work Mr. Joseph gave him admission in his school.
AND THAT BOY WAS THE MOST HAPPIEST SOUL ON THE EARTH...
