あるところに、小さなおんなの子がいました。おんなの子のなまえは、キャシーといいました。キャシーはいつも、「わたしのおたんびょうびはいつ？」と、たずねていました。キャシーはいつでも、「おたんじょうびはいつ？」と、そればっかり。
それはクリスマスでした。キャシーはまた、「わたしのおたんじょうびはいつ？」と、ききました。それからイースターまでず〜っと、「おたんじょうびはいつ？」と、いっています。それからまた、５月のははの日まで、キャシーは「おたんじょうびはいつ？」と、きいていました。７月がきても、まだまだ「おたんじょうびはいつ？」と、いってます。
７月１日、みんなはテーブルの下にかくれました。そしてケーキとプレゼントもかくしました。キャシーはドアをあけようとしています。ドアをあけると、みんながケーキとプレゼントでキャシーをビックリさせました。
「ハッピーバースデー！！」
その日からキャシーは、「おたんじょうびはいつ？」とは、きかなくなりました。

Then she kept on asking "When is my Birthday?" until July. On the first of July people hid under tables. People hid cake and presents. Kassy was going to open the door. When she opened the door she got a surprise and after that day she never ever asked "When is my Birthday?" again. |
