最後の葉が落ちて、新しい季節がやってきます。わたしは、まどの近くのだんろのそばにあるクッションの上で、ウトウトとねてしまいました。ゆめがわたしを、いろいろなところへ連れていってくれます。わたしは自分がねていると思っていませんでした。わたしは見たこともない場所につきました。ほとんどの人がわらいません。道の真ん中には、ドラゴンがいました。お家はみんな、さかさまで、どちらかというと高いビルもありました。なにもかもが、ふつうとちがうのです。そんなところから、わたしのゆめは始まりました。
わたしは、お家に帰る方法が見つかるといいな、と思いながら、赤い小道を歩いていました。すると、ホウキでできた鼻をつけた変な犬が道を歩いてきました。あらら！道がなくなってしまって、わたしは岩の上にすわっています。岩にはいろんな色がついていました。わたしは歩きつづけました。わたしは家とビルのある森に入っていきました。それから、いなかに出ました。それは森よりもずっと変っていました。あらゆるものが、後ろ向きなのです。
とつぜん、ビルが小さくなって、みんながこわがっています。「ABCビルの上にある箱を開けてごらん」「それはどこにあるの」と、わたしは聞きました。「もうそこにいるよ」と、動物と男女半々の生き物がいいました。「あら、どこに行ったのかしら？」と、わたしは思いました。わたしは四角いキャンディをかじりました。すると、ワ～！わたしは小さくなってしまいました。どれも小さくて、犬はバスで、犬の耳は階段です。バスはグレイハウンド、マット、スコッティ、プードル、ゴールデンリトリーバー、ジャーマンシェパードみたいな、犬の種類で呼ばれています。わたしは北の道に行くことにして、急行プードルにのりました。
男の人がいいました。「あなたはお金持ちですか？」
わたしは「いいえ」と、答えました。すると男の人は、わたしにおりるようにいいました。急行プードルはお金持ちの人だけのバスなのです。そこで、わたしは南に行くグレイハウンドにのりました。すると「道に迷ったのかい？」と聞かれました。わたしは「そうよ！」と、さけびました。「南に行くの？」すると、東に行くマット急行にのるようにいわれました。「バス代は６ベッターだよ」
「ベッターって何？」と、わたしはたずねました。
「お金のことだよ」
「OK」わたしは永遠の青い小道を歩きました。すると家はもうさかさまではありませんでした。
「グッドラック！」その時、バス（犬だけど）が来て、止まりました。わたしは１２０ドル、持っています。バスのまどには、ベッターと書いてありました。「だいじょうぶよ」と、わたしはいいました。まずバスガールのいう事を聞きました。すると後で、１２０ドルはらわなくては中に入れないと、いわれました。バスガールはそんなこと、なにもいってなかったのに！
「これで全部よ」と、わたしがいうと、バスガールが走ってきて、いいました。
「はらわなくてはだめですよ」
「道に迷ったのでしょう？」
わたしは「そうです」と、いいました。「いっしょに行きましょう」と、クロエがいいました。
「わたしの名前はチェルシー。あなたは？」
「クロエ」と、バスガールは答えました。
「さあ、行くわよ！」するとおじいさんが、もしバスからおりたいのなら、年をあてるように、いいました。おじいさんは９９しかおぼえていません。するとバスの中で、１８枚のコインを見つけました。９つずつです。だいじょうぶ！わたしたちはプードルにのりました。
「お金持ちですか？」
「ええ、そうです」わたしたちはウソをつきました。犬の足のはしっこからコインが２つ、落ちました。あとはコインが２枚ずつ、わたしとクロエにのこっています。わたしたちはディズニーランドにいました。運転手さんはクマのプーさんにそっくりです。
「プーさんのサインをもらいましょうよ！」わたしたちはノートを持ってきて、サインをもらおうとしました。ノートを開くと、コインが１０枚、落ちました。わたしはもうすぐここを出るって分かっていました。わたしたちはコインを１０枚ずつ、持っています。
わたしはクロエに、「スモールワールドのアトラクションに乗りたい？」と、聞きました。クロエはもちろん！といいました。そこで、１０枚のコインを使ってしまって、コインは１枚だけになりました。わたしは泣きました。アトラクションに乗った後、わたしたちはミッキーマウスに会いにいくことにしました。ミッキーマウスはわたしたちのことをギュッとだきしめてくれました。すると１枚だけのこったコインが落ちていきました。バイバイ、とわたしはさけびました。
ここでわたしは目がさめました。何もおぼえていません。パパとママがお友だちが来ているよ、とわたしを呼びました。「お友だちは子どもを連れているから、きっといっしょに遊びたいわよ」するとおんなの子が入ってきました。その子はゆめの中のおんなの子にそっくりでした。「ハイ！わたしはクロエよ」わたしはさけびました！「キャァアアアアア！ゆめは本当だったんだわ！」
s the last leaf fell we were approaching a new season. I fell asleep by the fire near the window on a pillow; my dream took me from one place to the other. I did not know I was asleep. I had landed in a place like no other. Most of the people did not smile. There would be dragons in the middle of the road. The houses were upside down and there were rather tall buildings. Stuff what wouldn't be, would be. Here's where my story begins:
I went down the red path hoping to find the way home, this unusual dog walked down the path with a nose made from a broom. Oh no! The path was all gone. I sat down on a rock, this rock was made of so many colors. I walked on. I was just in the forest with houses and buildings, I walked into the country. It was more weirder then the forest. Everything was backwards.
Suddenly the buildings were smaller and everyone was scared. Here try the box on the top of the ABC building "Where is that" I asked. "You are on it" said the half animal, man and woman. Where did he go? I wondered. I took a bite off the unusual square candy then, POOF! I became smaller. Everything seemed small and clear a dog was a bus and his ear would be stairs. There were buses called Greyhound, Mutt, Scottie, Poodle, Golden Retriever, German sheperd and much, much more. I took the route of that way north street and got on poodle express.
The man said "Are you rich?"
"No" I said.
Then he told me to leave. Poodle express is only for rich people. Then I took Greyhound down south.net street. The empire said to me. "Are you lost?" "Yes" I exclaimed. The empire is on lost path south? Take Mutt express down east road. The bus fair is 6 bedter.
"What's bedter?" I asked.
"Its money" he replied.
"Ok" Take the permanent blue path and the house that's not upside down is it.
"Good luck."
The bus, I mean dog, came to a sudden stop. I found 120 dollars, I mean bedter on the bus window. "This will help me" I followed the bus girl's orders and got to the empire. You have to pay 120 bedter to get in. The girl did not mension anything about that.
"That's all my money". The girl ran up to me and said:
"You have to pay."
"I know you're lost" he said.
I said "Yes".
"We will see the empire together." she agreed. My name is Chelsea.
"What about you?"
"Chloe" she replied.
"lets go."
The sudden old man said if you want to leave find the how old are you he rememberd 9 9 so find the 18 coins find each 9 that's on the house all right!!! We got on pooddle.
"are you rich" he said.
"oh yes we are" we said with a white lie up our sleve.
Lets play then 2 coin fell off the end of the paw of the dog when we left 2 for her and 2 for me. Here you are in disneyland called the driver oh look its Winne the Pooh.
Let's get his autograph, we bought a notebook to get autographs we opened it and 10 coins fell out I know we are going to get out soon we got 10 each.Then I asked her if she wanted to go on the smallworld ride yes please she said. then on each of our seats were 5 coins 1 more left I cried. after the ride we dicided to see Mickey Mouse he huged us and then 1 coin fell out our last coins bye bye I yelled.
Then I woke up from my dream I did not remember a thing chelsea my dad and mom called my friend is here with her kid I'm sure you would want to play right. Then the girl came in she looked like the girl in my dream "hi I'm chloe." aahhhhhhhhhha my dreams true true I yelled.
