"Halloween Story"

In this story, is "hay", is "lantern",

Our family was getting ready to go trick or treating.

It was a dark night and it was cold. We got our out of the closet and we lit it up so we could see.

First we went to our neighbor to see what we could get for a treat. Our neighbor gave us some . Mmmmmmm, it was yummy! We ate the until it was gone.

We left that house and as we were walking away, we saw a . It was on the sidewalk right in front of a pile of . It jumped at us and we screamed aand hollered and ran away!!!!

We went right to another house and went up to the door. When we rang the bell, a ghost answered the door. It was really my other neighbor with a sheet pulled over his head.

Suddenly a cart rolled by with 4 s. Inside the cart, there was a monster and a ghost and another . We all ran away as fast as we could and we screamed until we got back to our house.

When we went inside, mom and dad told us not to be afraid of the and the cart and her scary things. It was Halloween and it was a time for scary things to happen.
