"Anthony and Veronica"

T he warm,Pennsylvania sunshine peeked through the leaves of many young birch trees, onto the cool, wight-water stream. I splashed though the water, trying to swim in the opposite direction of the currant. I lived in the mountains, and was the son of two of the best deer around. My name was Anthony, and my mother's name was Mrs. Antler, and my father's name was Mr. Antler, and I had a little sister named Beck. We lived near the stream, and that was very good for me, because I LOVED to swim. Just as I was beginning to get hungry, I herd my mother call me to hunt for supper. Every day, my family and I would hunt for food be for supper. I leaped out of the stream, and bounded toward my mother's call. We headed into the forest, and split up so we could hunt in different parts of the forest. I trotted over the dead leaves on the forest floor, looking in every corner and cranny, hopping to find food. Soon, I found a large, ripe blueberry bush. I was just about to start eating, when another deer jumped out from the shadows, pushing me aside just as a bullet shot from the bush! The other deer and I ran, quickly through the forest with the hunter close on our trial! Soon the hunter loosed us, and we came to a clearing in the middle of the forest. "Thanks for saving me," I said. "my names Anthony." The other deer said, " Your welcome. I saw the hunter behind the bush. He had a HUGE gun! By the way, I'm Veronica." Veronica and I became great friends. Veronica tolled my mother and father she was an orphan, and so they agreed she could stay with us. I swam with Veronica in the stream every day, and sometimes she tolled Beck and I stories she new. Veronica said she never had a REAL family before, and so I am happy she is now part of ours.
