K ada had a favorite everything. She had a favorite animal, a favorite song, a favorite food, and even a favorite day of the week. But what she didn't have was a favorite color. From fiery red to ocean blue, they were all so wonderful. Why did she have to pick just one?

On Friday, the 17 day of kindergarden, Kada's class was going to paint a picture. "Class, I want you to paint a picture with your favorite color as the main element. Then, after every one is finished, you will go up to the front and we will guess what your favorite color is. what color would Kada pick? Yellow? Eggplant? Aqua? Pickle? She was certainly IN a pickle.

She sat at her desk thinking. Todd was using orange. Lily had pink. Danny picked indigo. 'This shouln't be so hard!' she thought to herself. 'I'm just making it this way.' She picked up her paint brush and stared into the paint. Then she had an idea.

First was bold red, she could hear the trupets blaring and the blanket wrapped arond her. Nex Kada smeard on bright orange, she could taste the sweet fruit and see the jak-o-lanterns in the night.Kada carfully painted sunny yellow, she could feel the warmth of the sun and see the daisys blow in the wind. Following that was fresh green, Kada could almost smell the fresh cut grass and hear the birds sing. Then icy blue, the ocean lapped at her toes and filled the air with it's smell. Last was royal purple, she could smell the violets and taste the grapes. Yes, this was her best idea in all of her five years.

Kada looked up and Lily was gigling. Kada looked at herself and found out that she was coverd in paint. Then Lily said,"Kada, you'er a rainbow!'
