"The Unicorn"
by

O nce upon a time, there was a Unicorn that lived in a woods far, far away. He was happy living in the woods until one day, some people came and found his cave, the only place he had to live! He wanted to get his cave back, so he started thinking of a plan.
He took his horn and disguised it as a goat's horn and spread sap around the bottom of it so it looked like someone had stuck it on tightly. Then he went in front of his cave and whinnied so the people would come out.
When they finally did, he waited long enough for them to figure out that he was probably a runaway horse. Then he started running, with the people right behind him.
When he was far enough away from his cave, he slipped back and lost the people. He ran as fast as he could to his friend the Bear's house, a tree in the middle of the forest. "Will you come and help me guard my cave so the people don't come back?" Asked Unicorn. The Bear agreed to help and followed Unicorn back to the cave. The people were already inside the cave. The Bear went inside and acted like it was his cave. The people were scared enough to leave the cave.
And that is why the Bear is always feared today.
