I n the entire world, the United States has the most overweight and out of shape people. There are many reasons for this and many ways to make sure it doesn? happen to you. Although staying fit is one of the most important aspects of living a long, healthy life, many people don? know how to do that. Regular exercise is one of the key ingredients to a healthy lifestyle. One of the best ways to get adequate exercise is being involved in sports. Sports such as football, basketball, soccer, and swimming are great ways to get your body moving while having a great time doing so. However, if you?e the type of person who doesn? feel you have time for such a great commitment, don? worry! There are still many types of exercise that don? require time or equipment. Simple things such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator, riding your bike instead of driving, and walking to school are very good ways to get exercise without even realizing it. Another important part of staying fit is a proper diet. With so many choices these days that are unhealthy, it can be hard to find good, healthy food, especially if you are in a hurry. A great way to make sure you always have healthy food is to pack your own lunch instead of buying it from a cafeteria. Also, checking labels before buying something really helps. Although many foods may seem healthy, they can often be high in fat and low in nutritional value. The third major aspect to staying fit is sleep. People have such busy schedules these days that they try hard to fit everything in, which sometimes compromises your sleep time. It is very important to get about seven to ten hours of sleep so that ypur body can function to its best ability. If you keep these ideas in mind, you will be able to stay fit and healthy with no problem!
