Sachiko Oba Cote'

In addition to receiving an outpouring of support from children who choose to make Kids' Space their home on the Internet, Sachi has earned widespread critical acclaim for innovatively engaging children in creative activities on the Web. From winning the Best Network Award at the 1995 Multi Media Grand Prix in Tokyo, the First Prize at 1998 Childnet International/Cable & Wireless Awards Scheme in London, to the NASDAQ Education Award at the Tech Museum 2001 contest in San Jose, Mrs. Cote' consistently delivers web sites and International Educational projects that are loved by children because they are fun and treasured by parents, teachers and concerned professionals because they are safe and educational.

Sachi is widely recognized in Japan as an opinion leader in the field of digital media and education. She has published a number of articles on the subject and frequently lectures and conducts Internet and digital media workshops for teachers, mothers and children. She has authored four books on using computers and writing web pages using HTML. Her recent book is to introduce the techniques for clear expressions that are being taught in schools in the US for the Japanese to gain global communication skills, by using her original picture of "Essay Triangle". She organized a study group, "Global Thinkers" in July 2009, and has been giving many seminars on the subject, in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Kobe. The book is #1 selling in the category of "Logic and Neurophenomenology" in July and August 2009, and it is also being translated in Korea.

Mrs. Cote' received her graduate education at Columbia University in New York, earning both a Master of Education and a Master of Arts degree. In her spare time Sachi is an accomplished pianist and artist. Mrs. Cote' travels extensively but she regards New York City as her home.

Please help Kids' Space on the web for children and schools to use the site for free, as it always has been since 1995.

After the financial shock started from 2008, we have lost our supporters who had donated for yearly operating budget for Kids' Space to function. The head editor Rhio and myself have been working hard on the volunteer basis, but without editors, fundraisers, CPAs, and tech people, Kidsf Space can not function. We were unable to keep the communication site, so the Kidsf Space Connection site was closed, so as On Air Concert, Hop Pop Town, Childrenfs Traditional Costumes, Voice for the Earth, and the Global Story Train. All were wonderful projects, providing the vital opportunities for young people to learn from each other.

If we cannot find a new supporting company this year, we are not sure if we could maintain the site next year. Please contact us if you know of a company who can help Kidsf Space to serve children and teachers for their international collaborative activities.

Thank you very much,

Sachi
