"A Japanese style breakfast"
by
KS bear ( age 10) Tokyo, Japan

My breakfast is usually a combination of steamed rice, miso soup, and flied eggs. Sometimes I have a green salad, a slice of sun-dried fish, or a sheet of black seaweed. I like a thin slice of grilled salmon rather than eggs. The two sticks are chop sticks that I can use very well. I need a cup of tea after my breakfast. My mother said that the first tea we have in the morning will keep us stay healthly. We say ITADAKI-MASU (= I will have my meal now) for starting and GOCHISO-SAMA (= Thank you for the good meal) for finishing every meal. GOCHISO-SAMA!
