"The brave knight" ( Ukrainian tale)

Once upon a time there lived a young weak night named Vaddimarr. He work at his father, Myron's shop. He had always wanted to be something in life. He cried each night because he was only a carpenter. His mother soothed him each night until he was able to get to sleep.

One night he woke up to find a poor little bird with a broken wing chirping out side of his window. Vaddimarr ran to his window and helped the little bird up. For about a year Vaddimarr took good care of his pet bird that he named Demitrie. His brother came into his room sobbing in anger. Vaddimarr was very nice so he soothed his brother who had just returned from the army. Vaddimarr had a long talk with his brother. His brother quit the army because he missed his old life too much and he gave th job to Vaddimarr.

Vaddimarr left so early the next morning. The princess came out to talk to all the knights and she noticed a new night. She instanly fell in love with Vaddimarr. She invited him for tea after he came back fromthe mission. Vaddimarr went out to fight the dragon. Vaddimarr was very ill and tired of fighting the dragon so he stabbed his knife in the dragon and the dragon burnt Vaddimarr.

The day Vaddimarr went back the princess saw Vaddimarr she laughed and threatened that if Vaddimarr came any closer, she would call her gaurd. Vaddimarr took one more step for he loved her. Vaddimarr loved the princess. Her sister came out and it was love at first sight. Vaddimarr married the princess' sister.
