- むかしむかし、王様には2人のむすめたちがいました。
- そして“ひる”と”よる”となまえをつけました。
- でも４人にふえたので、“なつ”、“ふゆ”、“あき”、“もんすーん”となまえを変えました。
- するとまた、８人にふえたのでこんどは“１がつ”から“８がつ”までの月のなまえに変えて、
- ９人目のむすめが生まれると“９がつ（セプテンバー）”というなまえをつけました。
- セプテンバーにはナイチンゲールがあたえられ、とてもなかよしでした。
- それはナイチンゲールをじゆうにさせていたからです。
- ある日ナイチンゲールはセプテンバーにお願いして、おとうさんとおかあさんに会いに行きました。
- でもほかのおひめさまたちは、ナイチンゲールがいつでもきれいな声でうたってくれるように
- かごにいれるように言いました。
- そしてにがさないようにしなければいけないと言いました。
- それで、セプテンバーは帰ってきたナイチンゲールをかごにいれてしまいました。
- ナイチンゲールは二度とうたをうたわなくなりました。
- ナイチンゲールは言いました。
- 「どうしてかごにとじこめるの？」
- 「じゆうにさせて！そうでないと歌はうたえないわ！」
- セプテンバーはあやまり、かごから出してやりました。
- そしてまた仲良しになりました。
- セプテンバーはおうじさまとけっこんして、美しいおしろにくらし、ナイチンゲールはその庭で
- じゆうにとびまわりました。
- でもほかのおひめさまたちはきぞくとけっこんし、シャム猫とおちゃをするだけでした。
- There once was a king having two daughers so he named them as night and day,it happened for him to have 4 so he renamed them as the summer, winter ,autumn and monsoon.Then so it happened that he had 8 so he named them as the months from january to september.
The princess september had been gifted with a nighingale and became very friendly to her because she let it free and so all of the princesses told her that she should keep in the cage so it would sing much better and not let it go away.
At that time the nightingale had gone with her permission to meet her parents and she sent her. while the bird returned and she so put it in a cage and it never sang for her at all and said "why have you put me in cage I want freedom or else I can't ever sing. I am so sorry said september and let it free.They were all happy.
Princess September was married to a prince and her nighingale in the gardens and a beautiful castle.But the others were married to a chacellor but they only got a siameese cat and a cup of tea.
