One day a man with a donkey loaded with salt was going to the nearest town to sell the salt.
As you can understand with such a heavy load the donkey was very tired, but then he saw a river just ahead,as he was so tired he accidentally tripped up,fell in the river,and suddenly realised that his heavy load had gone!(because as you know, the salt had been washed away) So he thought:"Ah! I've got an idea,if I fall in the river,my load gets lighter!"
So the next time he went along that road,his master had loaded him with another load. So when Donkey came to the river,he purpously tripped up and, like last time,fell in the river. But this time,he sensed that his load had become VERY heavy(because this time the load was: SPONGES!). So I guess you could say he was a dumb donkey!
