One day Anansi the spider was invited to his Great Grandmothers Funeral .When he got there that day his Mother-In-law met him there she said to Anansi. "do you want some food? and Anansi said no" I don't want some food" expecting that the Funeral wouldn't take long. .In the middle of the Funeral he got hungry so he looked around to see if any one was looking and sneaked into the kitchen.When he got into the kitchen he saw beans on the stove he took his Top Hat of his head and put some of the hot beans into it and when he put it on again it burned his head so he went to his Mother In-law and said I think I should be getting home and unfortunately his Mother In-law said I will see you of and when they where walking Anansi made this song up.

Somebody should go and see my Hometown
The bells are ringing, Wanna, Wanna, WannaHis Mother-In-law did not leave for a while , and because Anansi could not hold on any longer he took off his hat and his Mother-In-Law saw that he had stolen hot beans and put it into his hat. Anansi was disgraced and went to hide on a top corner in a building.
That is why the spider lives on a web at the top corner of a house or on top of a tree. It is because of his stealing.
