"The Kitten"

Once there was a kitten playing on the side of the street. It looked weary and wet, drenched from the rain. Many people had kicked it around at a barnyard, so it would run when someone walked by. Some days the kitten would follow someone home when they looked friendly, instead of being friendly they would shut the door in its face. One day the little kitten followed a girl home. To its surprise she let it in. that night it slept happily, and lived happily for the rest of its life.
