"Princess and the Pegasus" by Amanda

To many people judge by what they see but not of whom they really are.

Somewhere far from Earth is a planet and ruled by this planet is a Princess. Her name is Melody. Princess Melody's parents King Darien and Queen Salina live in the Crystal palace as well. Her parents want Melody to grow and be a lady especially her father. You see Melody is quite beautiful and mature for a nine-year-old girl but hates being in a royal family.

"You should be thankful." Says her father "Many girls dream to be you."

"Yes." Her mother agreed "They picture you as the most graceful girl ever."

"That's the problem." Sighed Melody "They judge me before they even know me."

Of course she was right. Melody is pictured as a very ladylike girl which she is but she is very brave. She also hates being the Princess. Balls and dances everyday almost.

But one day something happened that lightened up this opinion. A servant rushed into the thrown room. Shouting "It's war! Your majesty! The Dorgas have begun war!" The servant shivered in his boots.

"Koru." Ordered the king. A little man came up and bowed. "Take The Queen and Princess to the safe room till I sort this "war" out."

"But your highness" Koru said politely and in fear. "The Princess is missing" The King and Queen gasped.

It was true. Melody had been taken. She was on a ship accompanied by the Dorgas and the Dorga king. "Hello Princess Melody." Said the Dorga king. Melody just stared out the window watching other planets roar by. "How about some refreshments?"

"Where are you taking me?" Melody asked

"To my planet. Do not fret though. Your planet will be dealt with.Harshly." The Dorga king nodded. He was a very round king. And his clothes made him look after. He had hair either.

"Well fatso I suppose your going to do it? Oh that's right your loyal follower will do the job." Sneered Melody

"You have an attitude on you huh?" The king Dorga said "I expected you to be shaking in fear."

"Oh yeah I'm really shaking." Melody glared at him. The Dorga king left muttering and locked the door. Melody got up and looked around the room till something caught her eye. An opening in the wall. It was small but she was small as well so she managed to get in. The opening led to an odd room. It was a tall beautifully decorated room and in the center was a glass case. Slowly she went up to it. Inside was a crystal. It was connected to a chain. She lifted the glass and lifted the necklace.

"Hey!" Yelled an angry voice. "She has the crystal!" A servant of the Dorga king pointed out. Melody knew of the crystal her mother had and it looked exactly like it. She ran to a window and attempted to climb out it but it was too small. Panicking she crawled through the opening again. She flew open the window and climbed out. She was scared because one false move and she would fall endlessly into space. Yelling at the girl they too attempted to climb out. But shaking the ship caused Melody to loose her grip and she fell.

"My Crystal!" The Dorga king yelled as Melody fell. Melody past out. The crystal grew to a pink color and gently she fell to an unknown planet.

"Are you okay?" Said a voice as Melody began to wake up. Melody opened her eyes. She was sitting by a stream. A Pegasus with a diamond horn looked at her. Confused she tried to stand but fell weak. "You aren't hurt thankfully." He said "Just exhausted" He looked at her closely "So you're a human. Did you fall out of your ship?"

"Yes but. I've traveled far and wide but I've never seen a world like this" Melody said. "Who are you?"

"My name is." The Pegasus hung his head "I don't have a name." He looked embarrassed.

"Pegasus. Is it okay if I call you that?" She asked. He nodded then Melody said "My name is Princess Melody. Princess of the Crystal palace." Pegasus looked sheepish. Embarrassed he didn't know who she was. "It's okay." She said to him "This planet is beautiful"

"Would you like me to show you my world?" Pegasus asked

"Oh will you!" Melody said gleefully. He nodded and she climbed on his back.
