"The Rainbow Bird"

Once in an island far far away, there lived the most beautiful bird ever. It was called 'The Rainbow Bird'. It's feathers were made from the rainbow and it shone brightly towards the sun. It already had three other beautiful rainbow chicks.

One day, The Rainbow Bird flew out to find some food for it's chicks. But she didn't know that some travellers had come to the island to capture her chicks. The travellers soon found her nest and took one of the rainbow chicks. They put it in a big sack and tied it tightly. As they started to leave the island, the rainbow chick started to chirp loudly so that the mother rainbow bird heard it. Immediately, out from the sky appeared The Rainbow Bird. It used it's special confusion attack at the travellers and quickly put them to sleep. As they slept The Rainbow Bird got her chick out of the sack and threw the travellers into the sea.

She went back in her nest and cuddled up with her chick as they slept for the long hibernation until spring.
