Sarah looked aut the window dreaming about everything she
wanted. Then she went into the kitchen and wrote a list of what
she did want. Sarah looked out the window again and saw her friend
from school playing with almost everything SARAH wanted! Even
the thing Sarah wanted most she was riding, a horse. Sarah dreamed
she was on that horse right at that very moment. Sara went and
found her mom and said, "Mom, I want a horse." She said
sternly. Her mom looked at her and said, "You know that our
family is running low on money this month, and- well- no."
Sarah frowned. "Please!" Sarah said hopefully. "No."
Her mom answered. As Sarah left the room, her mom felt sorry for
Sarah. She wish she could let her daughters wish come true. Then
she had an idea. Her mom saw some money she could earn. The next
day Sarah went to school. All day, her mom was at work. Sarah
was very surprised, in the afternoon her mom came home and told
them she was going to work all week to earn some money.! T! hat
Saturday Sarah's mom came home and asked for Sarah to come aside
from the game she was playing on driveway with her friend, Melissa.
As Sarah went in her mom whispered, "Sarah, tell Melissa
she has to go home. I am taking you to- well- go get...a...horse."
Sarah's eyes grew wide she filled up with tears and said, "You
did that.. for me?" Her mom nodded. Sarah told Melissa and
jumped into the really old car Grandma had given them a few days
ago. As Sarah's mom came into the car, Sarah said, "You know,
don't get the horse for me. We need that money for other things,
not the things I want." Her mom was shocked but said, "OK
what every you say." And to today Sarah still dreams.
