You know those really boring Saturday nights when all of your best books are bieng borrowed, there's nothing good to watch on TV, and you feel like time has stopped? This is the kind of boredom Lullaby, a little orange bird, was going through. She tried calling some of her friends, but none of them were home,so she decided to watch the starry night sky from her bedroom window. There was a beautiful full moon out that night. It looked like a giant silver ball, beaming out it's light while the stars danced to the crickets' orchestra. But, she saw that she wasn't the only one gazing at the Moon's beauty. Some of her friends were outside starring at it too.
So she quickly flew to the hill where her friends were gathered. She met with her friend Dakota and his twin sister, Duchess, the neighborhood cats. She also saw Patch, one of her best friends from school. While gazing, Lullaby saw something interesting on the moon that she'd heard about, but never looked hard enough to see. So to take a closer look at the moon, Lullaby sat on a big star next to the moon.
"Hey, you guys, I bet you can't figure out what I see on the moon!", asked Lullaby."The Man on the Moon?!",cried Dakota. "The American Flag Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin placed on Apllo 11?" asked Patch."No,No,this has to do with the Japanese culture! We learned this in Geography class!" The cats and pig hesitated, but then Duchess came out and said,"OOOHHH,I KNOW!YOU SEE SAILOR MOON!" (giggles) "You're close, but not quite right.", replied Lullaby." "No, I think what Lullaby sees is a rabit making mochi, a kind of Japanese food. Am I right, Lulla?",asked Dakota."YUP!" "YIPEE!", cried Dakota as he jumped for joy. Eveyone was having a good time. They immagined the rabbit cooking on the moon. All but Dakota, who was too busy celebrating his right answer.
