"小犬のパフ"

あるところに、コンスタンスという名前のおんなの子がいました。コンスタンスはとてもステキなお家にすんでいます。お家のまわりには、木もはえていて、おまけに、いけまであります。

ある日、コンスタンスはだれかがドアをカリカリとひっかいているのに、気がつきました。ドアをあけてみると、そこには小さな、小さな犬がいました。コンスタンスは犬にパフという名前をつけてあげました。パフのけはまっくろ、おはなもまっくろ、いつもぬれています。パフはいつもコンスタンスとあそびます。ねるときもいっしょ、ペッドの中です。

コンスタントとパフは、一番のなかよしです。


Once there was a pretty girl named Constance. She lived in a pretty house. There were trees and even a little pond to wade in.

One day Constance heard scratching at her door. She opened it and there was a tiny puppy. She named it Puff. The puppy was black with a black wet nose. It played with Constance and slept on her bed.

She was best friends with Puff forever.
