"海の魚"

一匹の緑の魚が、うす暗い海の中を泳いでいました。魚は水面から何マイルもはなれた、海の底を泳ぎながら、海に終わりはあるのかしらと思っていました。

魚は答えを見つけるには、上へ上へと泳いで、海の一番上まで行くしかないと、思いつきました。そこで長いこと、それはまるで何年もの間に感じましたが、泳いで泳いで、ようやく水が透き通った、きれいなところまでやってきました。魚はそこで、これまで見たことも、想像したこともない、たくさんの魚を見つけました。けれども魚たちは、知らんぷりであたりをスイスイと泳いでいます。魚たちにとっては、ごくあたりまえのことでした。

とうとう魚は水面までたどりつきました。そこで見たことは、とても信じられないほど！海はとつぜん終わって、からっぽになっていました。海の底では考えもつかなかった広がりに、小さな魚はおどろきました。

もしこのぽっかりとした空間がこれほどすばらしいのなら、世界や地球は魚にとってどのように感じるのでしょう！けれども魚はこれが世界すべてと思い、また深くにごった海の底へと帰っていきました。

a green fish was swimming around in the depths of the dark dingy sea. he was miles from the surface and he wondered if the sea ever stopped.

he decided the only way to find out was to swim up and up untill he found the top. so he swam up and up for what seemed like years untill the water became clear and fresh and he could see what was around him. he met many new fish that he had never even imagined could exist but they just ignored him for to them it was all very normal.

eventually the fish reached the surface and he couldn't believe what he saw, the sea had stopped and there was just emptyness. the little fish marvelled at this openess for he had never experianced it before, he had lived in water all his life.

just think if open space had been so amazing to the fish what he would think to the whole world and universe. But the fish thought he had just experianced everything that exsisted and went down back th the depths of the dark dingy sea.
