あるところに、いっぴきの子ウサギがいました。子ウサギは、なつが大すきです。ある日、子ウサギは、これまで見たことのないお花を見つけました。それは今までで、いちばんきれいなお花でした。子ウサギはお花に水をあげました。するとお花はどんどん大きくなっていきました。お花はまもなく、子ウサギと同じくらい大きくなりました。「おやおや、あれあれ、なんてステキなんでしょう」と、子ウサギはいいました。つぎの、つぎの日、子ウサギが目をさますと、お花はもう子ウサギより大きくなっていました。子ウサギのこやと同じ大きさになっていたのです。子ウサギは「これはまほうのお花だわ」と、ひとりごとをいいました。お花はやがて、おはなしをするようになりました。「子ウサギさん、こんにちは。あなたのお名前はなあに？」「わたしはカーヤ。わたしにはお友だちがいないの。お友だちになってくれる？」と、子ウサギはいいました。お花は「よろこんで」と、いいました。カーヤは毎日、おうちでお花とあいます。ある日、カーヤはお花に「しらないウサギがきたわ」と、いいました。ウサギはカーヤに「あなたはだあれ？」と、ききました。カーヤは「わたしはカーヤ。あなたはだあれ？」と、ききかえしました。「わたしはエイミー」と、ウサギはこたえました。それからお花とエイミーとカーヤは、よるもひるも、いつもいっしょでにあそぶようになりました。

エイミーとカーヤはずっと、ずっとお友だちどうしです。

Once there was a little bunny that loved summer. One day she saw a flower she never saw before. It was the most beautiful flower she ever saw. She watered it and it grew taller and taller. Soon it was as tall as the bunny. "Mmm hmm. Very nice." said the bunny. The next next day when she woke up, the flower was taller than her. This time it was as tall as her cottage. She said to herself, "It's a magic flower." Soon the flower started to talk. "Hello, little bunny, what's your name?" it asked. "I am Kaaya. But I have no friends. Will you be my friend?" the bunny replied. The flower said yes. Everyday the the bunny would meet the flower at her home. She said to the flower that another bunny was coming. "Who are you?" asked the bunny. "I'm Kaaya. Who are you?" asked Kaaya. "I'm Amy." the other bunny said. So the flower, Amy and Kaaya played together all day and night long.

Amy and Kaaya are friends forever.
