ジェーンは長いこと、小犬をほしがっていました。そこで両親は、お誕生日の時に小犬をプレゼントすることにしました。

お誕生日の日、ジェーンはとてもハッピーでした。起きてみると、ビックリするようなことが待っていたのです。ジェーンの小さなお部屋はプレゼントとバースデーカードでいっぱい！お兄さんとお姉さんがお部屋の真ん中に立って、「ハッピーバースデー」を歌ってくれました。

Jane wanted a little dog for a long time. So on her birthday, her parents decided to give her a little dog as her gift. Jane was very happy on her birthday. When she awoke, she got a big suprise. Her little room was full of presents and cards. Her sister and brother were singing 'Happy Birthday' standing in the middle of her room. Jane's father and mother came in and gave her a basket. Jane saw the in the basket was a little spanial with a bow tied to it's neck. Jane cried with joy. She named her dog Jacky. From then Jacky and Jane were good friends.
