"迷子になったカメ"

むかしあるところに、ピーターという名前のカメがいました。ピーターは泳ぎが大すきです。ある日、ピーターは泳いでいるとちゅうで、迷子になってしまいました。そして近くの島にたどりつきました。ところがピーターは、島から出られなくなってしまいました。なぜなら、魚を追いかけているサメを見かけたからです。サメはピーターのことも、おそってくるかもしれません。

ピーターは島でひとりぼっちでした。お家に帰りたくてたまりません。けれども、心配しすぎて、お家までの道もわすれてしまいました。ある日、ピーターはイルカに会いました。イルカはお家への帰り方を教えてくれました。ピーターとイルカはたちまちお友だちになりました。

Once upon a time there was a turtle named Peter. Peter loved to swim. One time when he went swimming he got lost and landed on a nearby island. He did not get off the island, because he saw a shark chasing a fish. He was afraid it would go after him. Peter was very lonely. He wanted to go home. He had forgotten his way home, because of his worries. He met a dolphin. The dolphin showed him the way back home. He became friends with the dolphin.
