"金の歯"

あるところにゴールディという名前のサメが住んでいました。ゴールディは金が大好きでした。よく海の底まで泳いでいっては、金を探していました。

ある日、ゴールディは金でできた大きな箱を見つけました。その金は、じつはまほうの金でした。何も知らないゴールディは、箱のところまで泳いでいきました。そのとき何かがゴールディのことを、後ろからたたきました。歯が一本、金の箱にぶつかって、ゴールディはいたさのあまり、大声で叫びました。ところが、金の箱にさわった歯は金に変わってしまいました。ゴールディはそれを知って、大喜び。

「ぼくは金が大好きさ！」と、ゴールディは何回も言いました。

ゴールディが金の歯を持っているのは、こういうわけなのです。


Once, there lived a shark, Goldie. Goldie loved gold. Goldie often liked to swim to the bottom of the ocean and look for gold. One day, Goldie saw a huge chest of gold. Goldie did not know that the gold was magic gold. Goldie swam up to the chest with the gold. Suddenly, something hit Goldie from behind and one of Goldie's teeth touched the gold. Goldie cried out in pain. The tooth which touched the gold turned into gold. Goldie was actually happy. "I love the gold!" Goldie said over and over again. That was how Goldie got his golden tooth. 


