"金色のネコ"

ある日、ネコのクウィニィは、お友達のプディングとキッチンをうろうろしていました。すると、お庭の植木の中に黄色がかった金色のものが見えました。

「ちょっと行って、何だか調べてみようよ」と、プディングが言いました。「何だと思う？」と、クウィニィは言いました。

「チキンじゃない？食べられるよ」と、プディングは答えました。

２匹はネコ用とびらを通って、お庭に行きました。おどろいたことに、そこには黄色のネコがいました。

「こんにちは」と、クウィニィは言いました。

「こんにちは」と、ネコも言いました。「あなたはだあれ？」

「わたしはクウィニィ。そしてお友達のプディングよ」

「こんにちは」と、プディング。

「こんにちは」と、ネコはまた言いました。

「わたしたち、いっしょにここに住んでいるの。ところで、あなたはだあれ？」

「ぼくはロメオ。ロシアのネコです。おとなりのお家に住むためにここに来たの。ロシアのネコはみんな、ぼくみたいに黄色いんだよ」

それからというもの、３匹のネコはいつもいっしょに遊びました。


One day Queenie the cat was prowling around the kitchen with her friend Pudding when they saw a piece of yellowy goldy hidden in the bushes in the garden. "Let's go and see what it is," said Pudding.  "What do you think it is?"said Queenie. "Apiece of chicken to eat,"replied Pudding. They went through the cat-flap, and out into the garden.To their surprise, they found a very yellow cat. "Hello,"said Queenie. "Hello,"said the cat."Who are you?" "Iam Queenie,"she answered."And this is my friend Pudding." "Hello,"said Pudding. "Hello"said the cat once again. "We live here together,"said Queenie."By the way,who are you?" "I am Romeo,the Russian cat,"he said."Ihave come to live in the house next door.I am yellow because all Russian Cats are yellow." And from nowon, all the cats play together.  


