Once upon a time, a little kitten named Mya sat on her porch and pulled out something shiney.
It was her mother's pearl.
"I look so beautiful with this pearl," she said happily.
Then she noticed a
messanger putting a letter in her mailbox. She got up and pulled out the letter. It's from Aunt Rutie.
Dear Sugarplum,
Tommorrow is your big day, so I've aranged a little something(actually a big something) for you. I want you
to enjoy it very much, because I love you very much. But you have to be patcient for it to come.
Love,
Aunt Rutie
"Oh-boy," she cried happily, "I'm being sent a birthday present!"
Mya waited and waited. Soon it was late,
so Mya gave up for today, but promised she would get up bright and early tommorow.
She got into bed, and her mother and father kissed her good-night. Mya dremt of a mountain made of
presents. The next day, Mya woke up, got dressed, ate breakfast, and sat out on thier porch again. As soon
as her clock donged three times, she saw Nathan the postman walk up to her.
She shouted and shouted
"It's here, it's here!"
Nate handed her a big box. She opened it, and it was
filled with 'aunt rutie brand tea' from Aunt Rutie's shop in Kansas. Mya loved her birthday tea, that it
was all she drank for the rest of the day. And then her father said
"you know, Rutie forgot one thing."
"What is that daddy?"
"That your birthday isn't until NEXT week!"
Everyone laughed.
"I still love the tea, daddy, I still love the tea."
