むかしむかし、雲の上でねむることのできる人たちがいました。 まわりにはたくさんの鳥たちがとんでいました。 みんなはいつも「おっこちてしまわないかしら？」と心配していました。 でも、ねむってしまえば鳥たちのさえずりがきこえるだけでした。

まわりには、たくさんのフルーツがうかんでいました。 でも、そのフルーツをつかむのはたいへんなことでした。 みんな、いちにちのはんぶんはねむっていました。 のこりのはんぶんはたべものをさがしていました。 夜には星がキラキラとかがやき、みんなはときどき地球 におりてきました。 そこにもいろいろなしゅるいの花がたくさんさいていました。


Once upon a time there were people who could sleep on the clouds. There were lots of birds surrounding them. A thought always popped into their minds - "Would I fall?" But, when they were asleep all they could hear were the birds chirping. There was a lot of fruit floating around. The fruit was hard to catch. Half the day all the people would do is sleep. The rest of the day they would try to catch food. At night the stars would shine and sometimes people whould come down to earth. There were all different types of flowers there too.
