"The Hungry Elephant"

Once upon a time there was an elephant that liked to eat.  On Monday he ate sausages, toast, bananas and ice cream.  On Tuesday, he ate steak, green beans, mashed potatoes and mushrooms.  On Wednesday, he ate pancakes, eggs and ham.  On Thursday, he ate cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. On Friday, he ate corn on the cob, jello and pudding.  On Saturday, he ate a lollipop, hot dogs and french fries.  On Sunday, somebody asked the elephant why he ate so much.  The elephant replied,

" I have not eaten for one year because I was on a diet ."
