Once upon a time, there was a fairy named Katarina. She lived in the flower beds in the of the
Russian Ballet Company. Katarina loved to dance, that was why she had chosen to live behind the famous
dance company. Most of the other fairies chose to live in the fields of America.
Katarina was friends with all the flowers, but especially the tiger lily. He provided shade, light,
food, and anything else a fairy could possibly want.
One day, when Katarina was sleeping, the rain started to fall out of the sky. Emotion swept over
Katarina. Maybe she could stop this rain, like the great fairies of Montana, or maybe even like the ones
in Arizona. More still like the fairies of the Sahara Desert.
But then Katarina had never been good at one thing but dancing. She tried all right, but she could
never do it.
Katarina loved dancing. She remembered how at first she could never get anything right. Then
suddenly, like a flash of lightning in the sky, she understood the meaning of the phrase that the dancers
always said to one who had had a bad day.
"Practice Makes Perfect"
So Katarina tried. Then she put a little more effort in to it. A little more, until finally it stopped!
She had finally been able to stop the rain like the other great fairies!
The End
