"A Column of Ants"

One day a person was eating a piece of cake and then that person had to go because it was suppertime. While she was gone to get her supper, this stack of ants smelled the cake because she left a bit of cake behind.

And when those ants smelled the cake, they decided to go up and get some. But the problem was that they said, in a big bunch, "How are we going to get up there?"

Then one of the ants said, "I know how to get up, we just have to climb up on the poles." That was a good idea!

When they had the delicious cake, one of the ants said, "That was really good!"

And when the girl came back, she was surprised that the delicious cake that her mommy made was gone! She said,"I know who ate it... it was a bunch of ants!" And she said, "I don't care, because I had lots of cake at the party."

She brought the plate to her mother and told her the whole story that I made for you, Nanako. And she lived happily ever after.
