One day I was walking through the city when I found a beautiful pebble of many colors. I brought it to my apartment house and showed it to my Family at dinner.

"That is a very special stone," said my Mother, "Take good care of it."

Said my father, "Yes, it is a very nice stone, a very nice stone. I could put it in my rock tumbler if you like."

"No," I said, "I like it the way it is."

When I went to bed I put the Pebble under my pillow for safe keeping. I had a dream about the stone. I drempt that a voice told me that if I threw the stone in the well for one day the poor would be rich, the homeless have homes, and the starving have food. The voice also said that I would know that the stone is working Because there would be fireworks. Then I woke up.

The next morning I knew what I had to do. I slipped outside and threw the pretty rock into the well. And when I got home my parents were jumping and singing because we were no longer poor. And sure enough, that night I saw Fireworks.
