"たくさんの子どもがいるようせい"

むかし、子どもがたくさんいるようせいがいました。そのようせいはこどもたちぜんぶのめんどうをみることができません。 どうしていいのかわからないのでした。

ある日、ようせいはほんとうにこまってしまって、かしこいとしより小人をたずねました。 「かしこい小人さん、わたしには100人いじょうも子どもがいます。ぜんぶのめんどうをみることができません。どうかたすけてください。」 「よしよし、こどもようせいたちを花のまん中におきなさい。ひとつの花に一人だけだよ。そうしたら、きみとおなじようなようせいがめんどうをみてくれます。でも 10人はじぶんでそだてなくてはだめですよ。」と小人はいいました。

ようせいが小人のいったようにしました。うまくいきました。 「ようやくきちんとめんどうをみることができるわ！」ようせいはうれしくてそうさけびました。


Once there was a fairy who had many children. She could not keep all of them. She did not know what to do. One day the fairy was so desperate that she went to the wise old elf. She asked him,"Wise Elf, I have hundreds of children. I cannot care for them all. Can you help me?" "Yes,place your fairy children on the middle of flowers. Only one child on each flower. Then a fairy like yourself will take that fairy and take care of it. But you must keep ten of your children." The Elf said. The fairy did what the elf told her. Her problem was solved. "At last I can take care of my children!" The fairy exclaimed!
