My name is Danielle and a new family moved in the house next to my house. I sat and watched as they got all their stuff out of the big truck and took it into the house. I noticed a girl skipping in the yard and as she looked at me she smiled, I smiled back and then she skipped towards me. She told me her name was Kate and she is the same age as me. I already had friends but I really liked Kate straight off.

When her family were all settled in they came over to meet my family, while her parents talked to mine I took her up to room and I showed her my doll collection.When they went I home I felt a bit lonely, I really like Kate, she is a nice girl. Days turned into weeks and we played every chance we could, sometimes I slept over her place and sometimes Kate would sleep over my place.

Our parents got on great as well, Kate was like a sister we shared the same interest, especially our Barbie dolls. From that day on, till now we have been the best of friends, I hope neither of us ever moves so we can stay best friends forever.
