Once upon a time in a land far far away where the blue dolphins live there was a family of mermaids. There was a pappa mermaid a mamma mermaid and a little girl mermaid whose name was Melissa.

Well, one day Melissa was swimming and trying to find a good meal for her family to eat when she noticed an odd figure coming towards her. At first she got scared and thoght it was a sea dragon but then she took a closer looked. Why that odd shaped figure was not a sea dragon at all, it was a fairy! The fairy was all dressed in pretty purple and she was carrying her sparkly fairy dust in a necklace around her neck.

Well, the fairy swam over to Melissa and said, "Melissa, I am a fairy. YOu know, when you see a fairy you are suppoesd to look deep into your heart and wish something which will come true. Make youwish!" Well, Melissa was very happy and she hestitaed none to make her wish. "I wish I could swim with the big blue whales!" recited Melissa. Then the fairy swam away.

A few! days later Melissa said to her pappa, "Pappa I wanna swim with the big blue whales!" But her father told her not because they would surely eat any human thing in sight. Her mother agreed with her father, she did not wanna lose Melissa to a whale. Well, that was it Melissa thought, there is no way my wish will come true. If I even try it I will surely get swallowed up by those whales I wish to swim with ever do much.

For the next few days Melissa was ever so sad, and she just sat down sobbing for she had lost hope. She said to herself that this could never happen and she should just move on. Suddenly it happened! Melissa realized what had went wrong with her wish! She had only wished something for herself, not everyone. So she found her fairy and said, "Fairy, I would care to change my wish. I wish the big blue whales will be ever so safe so that every mermaid could enjoy swimmimg with them!"

A few days later there was a shake in her kingdom that sounded like an earthquake! I! n came the big blue whales. Everyone hopped on their backs ! and swam with them. They all had so much fun and thanked Melissa. But there was still something wrong and Melissa knew it! I know dreams only affect us who I wished for! I never wished for my fairy who made this all happen! So she found her fairy again and told her to make a wish who wished that everyone would libve happilly ever after. Guess what? They did!
