"The Talking Fish" by Ashley M

There once was a poor fisherman who couldn't catch a fish. Every day his wife asked him, "Did you catch a fish?" He would always say, "Not today, maybe tomorrow."

One day he caught a fish.

The fish asked him, "How do you do?"

The fisherman said, "Fine thank you."

He paused for a few seconds and then said, "You are a fish. You can't talk!"

The fish said, "Oh, yes I can! Please let me go!!"

The fisherman let him go and when he got home he told his wife the entire story. She put him to bed and gave him medicine.

The next day the fisherman said, "Please fish, please talk to me!"

The fish said, "You called?"

The fisherman explained that his wife did not believe him and the fish said,"I will go home with you so that she will beleive you."

At the fisherman's home the fish lay in the fisherman's bed, and when the wife discovered him, she screamed "Go away!"

The fish said ,"I will grant you three wishes if I can stay."

So the wife wished for a theatre, and billions of !tickets, and the fish told her, "You might want to save your last wish."

The wife said "I wish you would Shut Up!"

The fish was the attraction at the theatre, but he was now quiet, so there was no crowd. The fisherman and his wife were left with no wishes and no money because of her hasty wish!
